The idea for deGENTS wasn't born in a boardroom. It started exactly where most good stories do: a group of friends hanging out, cussing at the TV, and watching our bets absolutely get
destroyed.
One weekend, my buddies and I were on an absolutely brutal sports betting streak. Every bet seemed to lose. Every "lock of the week" somehow turned into another donation to the sportsbook.
After another bad beat, one of my friends looked around and laughed.
"Dude... we are such degenerates."
Everyone started laughing.
Without even thinking, I fired back:
"Nah man... we're deGENTS."
The table erupted.
Everyone thought it was hilarious, but for me, something clicked.
In that moment, I realized there are a lot of guys just like us. Guys who enjoy a good time, don't take themselves too seriously, and always seem to find themselves in the middle of a great
story.
That conversation sparked an idea, and before long, deGENTS was born.
